Could we change the Cost Period Current Period setting to fall over the current date? Please

Clients in support typically ask about this. They do not want to have to keep going to set the Current Cost Period in the Settings and to make matters worse we force them to set it per project (Existing idea for Portfolio setting current period: https://projectsight.ideas.aha.io/ideas/PSW-I-1821). In addition Professional Services recently asked why is Current Period setting not set to the current date? Is there really a business case to have the client's continue to have to do this busy work every period. Please consider the RFI issue recently posted, PS-40776.

    The cost period should default to the current period, but users should also have a way to select any cost period from the budget screen. This way, they could see the costs for that period quickly and easily.
