The submittal workflow is a critical component of any construction project management software. This is one area where Team clearly outperforms ProjectSight. I agree with others that improving this should be a top priority—and at the very least, ProjectSight should consider replicating how Team manages the process.
I agree with the other commenters. Workflow for submittals is a critical piece of the submittal process. This should be a top priority for Project Sight as it was provided in Project Teams.
This is such an important, basic requirement for processing submittals that I am completely flabergasted and dismayed that it has not been implemented yet. This is a horrible, time consuming task as it exists right now. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE IMPLEMENT IN A TIMELY MANNER!!
Thanks for the update Ben. If I could vote a thousand times for this I would. Our company also switched from VP Team and the lack of workflow in Submittal/RFI/etc is slowing processes and down and creating confusion/inefficiency.
We are currently working on this.
Is this no longer on the radar? After the workflow permissions were added I haven't heard of any additional improvements to workflows. We need the Submittal workflow desperately. We had it in Viewpoint Team.
The lack of workflow in Submittals is the biggest complaint I am getting from my users who are migrating from Viewpoint Team. States changing when certain things happen and the ball-in-court concept changing as things flow would be a huge improvement to the comment based submittal process and manual status changes that ProjectSight has now.
