Have Option to Apply Sharing Security Permissions to Existing Records
Enhance the Sharing Settings to ask the administrator if they would like to update all existing records with the new security settings. By default, ProjectSight's Sharing Settings are set to share records with the Participating Companies only. This means that records will only be visible to the companies involved in the record as the author, assignees, or courtesy copies.
The Sharing Settings can be managed per record type, in the Record Settings area. The other option is to share the records with the Entire Project, meaning that all users with access to the record type will see all records.
The way things currently work, the Sharing Settings only control the default for new records. Changing the setting does not retroactively update existing records. So any existing records would need to be manually updated, using the Sharing Panel in each record.
