Need a messaging feature with in the app and desktop

We need a messaging feature with in the mobile app and desktop application's. we need to be able to tag people in the project and message direct or in a group. We need to communicate with each other with in the platform for specific reasons as needed for many different reasons, one being to alert some one of a change or notification that something needs their attention or to collaborate with an item in the platform.

    I would like this feature to be able to have a record of direct communications with others that are directly linked to the project the messages would be in. Could be used for quick approvals if an RFI would take too long. Faster than emailing.
