Auto Link Record to files uploaded to ProjectSight Documents
When you need to upload or attach multiple files to a record, most importantly when migrating data from another software, it would be so incredibly helpful if we could upload the folders and files and ProjectSight would recognize the files and attach them to the records.
For example, we are starting a project that already has 50 Submittals and each Submittal multiple attachments. We can export out the Submittals with their attachments into folders 001, then its attachments, folder 002 and its attachments etc.
In the File Library > ProjectSight Documents > Submittals, so long as you upload the folders using the same number 001, 002 and its files (using TrimbleConnect as ProjectSight does not yet have the ability to upload folders with files), when you open Submittal 001, it will show those attachments as linked.
Repeat this for RFIs, etc. So much time saved.
Ability to import File Folders with their associated documents is a much-needed solution.
