At the end of a project we have to turn over a copy of all/some of the project documents (As-built drawings, RFIs, Submittals, O&M, Warranties, etc.). Owners often want these digitally as a set of folders/files. ProjectSight should give users the ability to export a set of documents for this purpose.
Export workflow should have the checkboxes below:
-Drawings (with options for all versions or current version only, and with or without markups)
-RFIs
-Submittals
-Any folder from the File Library
The drawing markup links should work in the exported version. PlanGrid does this and ProjectSight should too. It makes turning over as-builts really easy and gives the owners something that can work on any computer.
This item was shipped and closed, but I do not believe the shipping version addresses the entirety of my initial request. Without the ability to export as-built drawings (with markups and linked records), the drawing export portion of this feature is basically pointless. We still have to go to the Drawings module and export as-built drawings from there, which is very unreliable and slow. Using this method, we have found that you have to download in smaller chunks, or it will timeout and fail to download.
I think this should be reopened to address my original request to include as-built drawings. Ideally these drawings would be clouded, and linked to records, so that anyone we give the package will have an offline version of the drawings that opens hyperlinked (locally downloaded) records.
