Report Email Notifications - DO NOT REPLY

When you click on print and select a report you have the email option. Once that email is sent it appears to come from your name but email address projectsight@trimble.com. When someone replies, it is undeliverable. Recently, a new note was made after the email is sent at the top of the email stating DO NOT REPLY.

We do understand this was probably added to help eliminate individuals from replying to an email that doesn’t exist but it would be helpful, as an admin, to be able to change this language OR Trimble to change this language so its not BOLD or update wording to a softer note. The current note, when sending to owner, architect and other externally could be deemed offensive.

I see the Do Not Reply was added a result of users receiving a system-generated error. The system makes it confusing for users who are trying to reply to an email and information could be easily lost. This was reported in PS-45847 and was added in the March 16th Release 2024.07.

This is frustrating to not have the option to use or not use this "DO NOT REPLY" label. Please make this optional.

We are very frustrated by this undocumented change as well. It's caused a lot of confusion among our staff.

I couldn't agree more. This is at minimum confusing to the recipient and as you stated more likely will be interpreted incorrectly or offensively by the recipient. My opinion is that this behavior speaks to a broader shortcoming in the over all process of communicating (notifications) with a project contact, especially a third party contact.
