Client's want a way to have Contacts be able to access links to record attachments.

This is a more encompassing request that includes the idea https://projectsight.ideas.aha.io/ideas/PSW-I-3168. Clients have requested in support for the ability of non user contacts to be able to have access to record attachments by clicking the links to those attachments they receive via email in notifications as a result of being assigned or CC'd to those records. This is the other half of their business need clients are requesting that comes along with the ability to enter comments from email replies to ProjectSight notifications. The third part is when a record such as a drawing is linked to the record as suggested in the Idea above. This full workflow is desired by some of our clients, and has been causing some frustration as our applications does not seamlessly allow. Hopefully we can construct a process to help them with solving this need.

    Any update on this idea?

We would love to have the ability for our non-user clients to be able to view report attachments in PDF format when they are assigned or CC'd in ProjectSight. Or when reports are emailed to non-user clients through ProjectSight.

I.e. Currently, when emailing submittals to non-user clients through ProjectSight, the emails the non-user clients receive have a PDF attached, but that PDF is only the submittal "report". The attachments in the submittal are not viewable unless you sign into ProjectSight, and our non-user clients are not able to sign into ProjectSight. So we have to download the submittal and send in a separate email (not through ProjectSight) so that they can view the attachment.

It would be very helpful for our company to be able to email things like submittals to non-user clients through ProjectSight, and the attachment in the submittal be viewable without the need for the non-user clients to sign in to ProjectSight. The non-user clients would also be able to respond to the emails with the attachments, and the responses would be transposed to ProjectSight. Please mull this idea over, because I believe it would also help many other companies as well!

This would be a very nice addition. It would be very helpful for our non-user contacts to be able to view the attachments in the email without having to login to Trimble/ProjectSight (Seeing they are a non-user, they do not even have that option). Currently, we are having to download the attachments from ProjectSight, and then send a second email to our non-user contacts with the downloaded attachment (After the first email they receive when assigning or CCing them in ProjectSight). Then after viewing the attachment in the second email, the non-user client has to go back to the original email (the one from them being assigned or CC'd in ProjectSight) to type/send their response. It would be very helpful if the attachments could be viewed by non-user clients in the original email (when they are assigned or CC'd to the item in ProjectSight). The benefits from this would include the non-user contacts only receiving one email instead of two, and they would also get reminder notifications on the emails with the viewable attachments included. They could then respond to the email with the attachment instead of having to go back and forth between the email they need to respond to, and the second email we currently have to send them with the downloaded attachment.

In addition to this, when a record is assigned or CC'd the ability to view/download a pdf of that record through the email notification. Without someone physically emailing out the report of the record.
