When creating RFI from Drawing Create Snapshot that Attaches to RFI Instead of Adding Link to Drawing in RFI
As a specialty contractor using ProjectSight for our projects we really can't force our client to be a User in the PS System. When we send an RFI that was created from a drawing to a client that is not a User there is no option to "Attach" the drawing, it is just a linked file. As a contact they cannot open the drawing then. Currently we have to filter the drawing to just that RFI cloud then download it and attach it to the RFI as a PDF. If PS created a snapshot of the drawing with just that RFI cloud and attached it to the record automatically it would be a huge time saver!
I would agree. Often times we create our own RFI log and have to submit our RFI's over to the General Contractor's document management system. While doing so, we are able to download the "linked files" but we're not able to download the "linked records or designs". So we're forced to open the linked drawing to print out a PDF to include the drawing with the clouds on them in our RFI we submit to the General Contractor. Having an option to download the linked designs as well as the linked files would be a huge time saver.
