Quick Download Button for Individual Locked Records

Requiring users to go through the process of printing each record to download the report + attached files of a record is time-consuming. I understand the need for this while a record is changing, but once it is locked, I think we could simplify things.

I'm proposing that moving a record to a locked status would essentially "print" that record (in the background), along with any linked files which have been toggled on to "include in email and reports", using the default report for that record type.

That complete version of the record could then quickly downloaded by users via a new download button on the toolbar, maybe between the print button and save & refresh button.

A download button could also be included on the list view as well, in-line with the other columns. That way, users could also quickly download a closed/locked record from there, without having to open it at all.

This would make it very quick to download records, as it would avoid the process of building that download package every time.

Maybe this could also apply the same, "save to File Library" functionality that we have today, so that these files could be easily viewable from Trimble Connect. Ideally, these would all saved to a dedicated "Closed/Locked Record" folder, and not saved in the numerical record number folders. That way, users viewing through Trimble Connect could have a single folder containing all of their closed/locked records saved in one folder, numbered sequentially.

I'm assuming that each time a user prints a record, it goes through the same processing on the server each time, so this could also cut down on that processing time that is required today.
