Client wants to download any attachments from a ProjectSight notification automatically, via a link in the email. Third party clients such as Architects may not be albe to login, or be willing to login just for attachments. They would prefer to just see the attachment from the link. Make the links provided in notifications as something to directly download rather than forcing a ProjectSight login.
In our view, the concept of a Project Contact within ProjectSight is incomplete and deficient without the ability to communicate with a third party inclusive of either one or more attachments or ability to download one or more attachments. The required capability would minimally include both comments and attachments relative to a record that a Project Contact has been included on that can being transacted both outbound as an email notification to the Project Contact (comment and attachment or download capability) and inbound from an external Project Contact (comment and attachment). Additionally, the respective ProjectSight record would behind the scenes incorporate all comments and attachments both outbound (sent) and inbound (received) maintaining the integrity of the collaboration. This would occur without the contact needing to be a user.
In addition, Project Contacts should not have any link to the ProjectSight record included in the body of the email as they are not an explicit ProjectSight user. Having the link when not a ProjectSight user is just confusing to the recipient.
As mentioned in another comment I am aware of at least one other vendor where attachments can be downloaded in lieu of a link that requires logging into the platform to access an attachment.
In support I had another client that wanted this feature due to email size too. This would become more relevant as more clients go to a user based license model. They would want users to be able to get their downloads without having to login. Also clients have mentioned this may already be a feature in other apps.
