Punch Item: + Button Permissions
Issue:
On the Punch Item module, subcontractors & other collaborators are using the + button at the top of the form to add photos of the resolved issue, rather than using the Comments > Attachment option.
It makes sense that this happens, because the + button is so prominent on the screen, and users don't see or know that they should first tap on Comments, and then the photo or + button there instead.
It is not ideal for them to add photos using the + button, to an existing Punch Item, since those added items go into the Description field, rather than be added as a new Comment.
Suggestions:
Move the Comments field higher up on the Punch Item form, so that it's more visible to users.
Give admins a security role permission to control the ability to see/use the + button that adds to the Description field. Today, we can control permissions to the Description field, but if the Security Role has File Library edit permissions on Punch Items, they can still use this + button, and append photos/attachments to the Description.
Force or prompt users to place added photos to the comments, when adding a new photo/attachment to an existing punch item.
