Apply Meeting Minutes Formatting to Printed Reports

In ProjectSight, you are able to change the font, bold, underline and bullet. When you change the font size and then print a system report the font size doesn’t always show on the report even though it shows up in the module in Projectsight. In the HELP, it states this is by design. We are recommending this be changed so these features appear on the reports (printed or PDF'ed) as they appear in ProjectSight.

The meeting minutes module is not functional for projects due to the formatting not being printed with reports. Most stakeholders on a project including clients require printed copies of the agenda/minutes in PDF or paper format rather than going through a website with login to view it. It is not realistic to require all client representatives and subcontractors/vendors who are not fully integrated into the project but are still needed to be in the loop to create Trimble accounts and continually use ProjectSight even if that is ideal. Without the text formatting being carried into printed reports, the meeting minutes module is not useful for most projects. Other functionalities within the meeting minutes like action items tracking is very nice but being able to print legible reports supersedes it in importance.

Currently, we hold our meetings in person with clients and architects and distribute PDF copies of the meeting minutes to all attendees. However, the font size in the printed meeting minutes is quite small, making it difficult for many of our employees, clients, and architects to read through them easily. Having the font size and adjusted format carry over to the reports would enhance the readability and functionality of our meeting minutes, helping to ensure that everyone can follow along more comfortably.

It would greatly improve the functionality of the meeting minutes module to have formatting reflected in the report. Most of our customers/owners don't want to view meeting minutes within ProjectSight, so they still request a pdf copy of the minutes. Not having formatting reflected in that report severely limits how we can use the notes section of each topic.

It is very helpful to have PDF copies of minutes to send out to people. Also, since the minutes are set up to be entered in their own independent text box at all new meetings, formatting in that print function is extremely important so that users can maintain the number of previous minutes we want to include.
