Description:
In the current workflow, ProjectSight requires a budget/cost code for all default markups. However, when a markup represents Overhead or Profit, it is not a cost item. These markups should be added to revenue, not cost.
Request:
When a default markup is categorized as Overhead or Profit, ProjectSight should not require a cost code.
The system should treat these markups as revenue-only items, allowing users to apply them without forcing association to a cost budget code.
Benefit:
This change better aligns with standard construction accounting practices and prevents incorrect or misleading cost coding. It would simplify workflows for teams that use overhead and profit strictly as revenue markups.
