Maintain notification and permission settings as they are affected by toggling on/off.

It would be helpful if notification and permission settings were maintained as the setting gets toggled on/off in any of the numerous areas they can be set. Similar to the settings being inherited. For example on record notifications. if Notifications are disabled why is notified contacts checked and appearing to be enabled? This makes everything very confusing.
