The Open Assignments should be included in each XSD data source where an Assignment might have been made.

Currently when creating custom reports the open assignment is not available in most of the XSD files. We must use subreports to pull that in but many times we need it in an existing subreport and this is not an option.

    The issue is that the Open Assignments is needed within an existing subreport. In that situation you cannot use another subreport. I will create a new request identifying the XSD files that I need modifed. Thanks.

    Subreports are your new best friend when working with Crystal in ProjectSight. There are many cases where getting it is not possible to add the Open Assignments. Your request here is too broad and too labor-intensive for the development team to accomplish. You will have better results if you ask for a specific XSD file to be updated along with a compelling reason why beyond 'we have to write a subreport'.


    I have to do this with the XSD updates I need for my reports. Having a single request with a compelling reason is easy for them to add to their workload as time permits.
