More Robust Security around Budget

We need more advanced security options for the Budget (as opposed to all or nothing currently available).

We have a project that has three General Contractors each working on their piece of the project. We want to be able to allow each contractor control of their portion of the budget without the ability to see the portions controlled by the other GCs.

This would need to follow all the way through the program. Each Contractor would only be able to pull a budget code into Contracts/PO/PCOs/General Invoices that they have access to and not see all the budget codes for the entire project.

This idea is crucial to use being able to integrate some of our actuals but we cannot yet since that would then show anyone with access to the budget screen, those staff costs. It is not the issue with hiding the JC drilldown but hiding those budget items completely from certain users.

By having the security roles link to the Budget Structure and Lookups should suffice all needs. You could tell ProjectSight to "secure" a specific group in the phase code. For us, it would be the Category. We would then apply roles to each value of the Category so if you don't have access, you cannot have access to any budget code in the budget screen or anywhere in ProjectSight. It's similar to how the Workflow status works where if it's not Approved it doesn't show in the lookups. We need it to be very granual.
