Currently when you go to Quick Print->File Library it just puts the file in the related record's folder, but the file is not linked to the record itself. I imagine most users want this to be the end result when choosing File Library as it is more convenient to access and use the new file from the links panel. Having a checkbox or global default would be ideal so users can avoid an extra click each time depending on their preference.
Now that we have the new signature option with the PDF Viewer, this is a more powerful request. If we could have the report auto-link or if you allow the markup tools of the Preview Report and then save the preview with the signature that works as well.
