Ability to pull in checklist templates from sample project for use in new projects or project templates

It would be nice to have these to start from in future projects, and as other ideas have noted, the ability to change them on portfolio and project levels. Maybe there could be an optional record setting turning them on, or in the least, some information in the help area about importing them to new projects and a maybe an easy link to the sample templates instead of having to export (or in the case they didn't get the sample project and therefore don't have access to the sample checklists for export)
