Open Email Notification Links in the iPad App instead of Web Browser

Enhancement description:

Today, when a user receives an email notification from ProjectSight (for an RFI for example) on their iPad, clicking the link to open the record opens the web browser which fails to display attachments properly because mobile Safari is not officially supported. However, navigating to the record directly from the website on mobile Safari seems to work fine.

What are we trying to accomplish?

Easily open records and their attachments on mobile devices.

How is the lack of functionality affecting the business?

The end user is confused because they expect to be able to open these links on their iPads, but encounter a PDFTron license issue because it wasn't designed to work on mobile. This leads them to think that ProjectSight is broken in some way because they don't understand, nor do they care, that mobile Safari is not officially supported. This leads to frustration and wasted time.

Suggested implementation:

Open email notification links, whether from the built-in iOS mail app or Outlook for iOS, in the ProjectSight app (if it's installed) by intercepting the URL to open the record within the iPad app.

We don't want mobile users to be directed to the web client.
