We like to have the Daily Reports auto generate for our projects instead of having the superintendent create one every day. Currently the way the system can auto generate a report is via the automatic weather setting. We turn on the automatic weather when opening our project so as not to forget about it later in the rush to get started. Would like to have a project setting specific to Daily Reports that allows us to set the dates for auto generation under Records/Daily Reports.
Several ProjectSight competitors already support this scheduling capability (workdays + an end date), and it would be a simple tweak to the existing module rather than a new feature. I know Viewpoint Team (which you own) Has this already.
Requesting a small enhancement to the existing Automatic Weather settings:
Add an End Date for automatic weather reporting (separate from the overall Project End Date).
Add selectable Work Days (M–F / M–Sat / custom days) so weather entries (and the resulting daily-report creation) only occur on scheduled workdays.
We enable Automatic Weather at project setup so it doesn’t get missed, but without an end date and workday selection it creates unnecessary entries and clutter.
Auto generate based on start/end dates of project info! Project setup of weather shouldn't start auto assignments of daily reports.
