The submittal status color code dots are very helpful when looking through a long list of submittals, but when you use the search bar the status color code dots are removed, presumably so as not to visually interfere with the highlighted search results. If that's the case, I think it's intuitively understood that those colored dots aren't part of the search results, even if the status color is the same yellow as the highlighted results.
