Plan Storage is Terrible and Does not Meet the Bar Set Across Other Platforms

The Plan feature in PS is terrible. It started out terrible and it's only getting worse. The most basic features aren't there. It's as if, the person who designed this feature has never worked in the Construction industry.

  1. The system should automatically reduce your file size to render optimally. This is currently left up to the contractor to determine and do in Bluebeam PRIOR to uploading.

  2. If file sizes are different when uploading/slip-sheeting which hinders the ability to overlay - then PS should automatically resize them at the time of upload OR notify the user that the page sizes differ and therefore will not allow overlaying (a feature we DEPEND on).

  3. When viewing drawings, RFIs should be the only the annotations displayed by default. Punchlist items shouldn't automatically show up. This completely muddies the drawings and makes them illegible.

  4. As-built drawing feature does not work. This is unacceptable as it has serious financial implications. This could hinder our ability to bill for retention as As-built drawings are a requirement of the contract at turnover.

This feature is YEARS behind the industry and this is something I have reiterated time and time again to PS. The bar was set a decade ago with Plangrid. If you are going to rollout a feature and promote it, it needs to meet the very basics expected in the industry. ProjectSight isn't even close.

Before rolling out half-hazard updates that don't work and make it less user-friendly, PLEASE work on addressing the lingering issues that we've been nagging you about for years.
