Coming Soon: On April 2nd, all Suggestion Boxes will be migrating to The Network, Trimble's online user community. Your posts, votes, comments, and user accounts will transfer. This site will become read-only after the migration, and this banner will have a link to the new location for ProjectSight suggestions.

Send assignment reminder

Currently, the system sends a separate email for each assignment when issuing reminders. While well-intentioned, this results in a flood of notifications that users often perceive as noise—leading to important reminders being overlooked or ignored altogether.

To improve engagement and reduce inbox fatigue, we recommend consolidating these into a single, thoughtfully formatted email that lists all outstanding assignments. This approach will not only streamline communication but also increase the likelihood that users will review and act on the information provided.

I'd find it ideal if additionally that email transcended projects and included All assignments to the user across an entire organization.

As an extension of that, I would like to see a singular page where a user can see all of their assignments across the entire organization, or at the very lest, across a portfolio.

Another ask/aspect of this that i'm going to suggest as a different idea is the ability to add a note to an assignment. It would be very, very helpful to attach some user-created description or context to the assignment. It's not always 100% clear what someone is being asked to do (or confirm) and being able to type in a short note (1000 chars) would be very helpful.

A Ball in Court function might also help minimize this issue.

I feel these two topic ideas could be combined to streamline communications.
