Contract/Purchase Order Number Enhanced Formatting

Several ideas are floating around around Contract and Purchase Order Numbers, but here is a combined request for what is needed across the board for these two records.

  • Ability to Auto-Number based on

    • Contract Type

    • Prefix

  • Ability to define a prefix

    • Contract Type

    • Job Number

    • Other

  • Ability to enforce the maximum length of the Number field

    • If integrating into an ERP, we need to ensure that the character length does not exceed the maximum length of the ERP. The number is locked after creation and cannot be changed/updated.
