Notice to Cure or Just "Action Item"

When working in the Meeting Minutes Module, I searched everywhere on how to add an action item. Finally I realize that a "Notice to Cure", (which is usually reserved for legal terms); as in "to put a Trade on Notice", is the Action Item. Why not just call it what it is, an Action Item?
