Merging Portfolios or copying projects from one portfolio to the other

Client has multiple databases/portfolios and would like to merge them into one. Realizing this is complicated due to high probability of conflicting settings in different databases, the current best practice is to start new projects in the correct portfolio. Even if this is a backend effort that requires services, etc., it would be nice to have to option, or at least be able to copy over completed projects as view-only in the main portfolio.
