Linking a Contact to Company Under Portfolio Setting

When adding a contact under the Company in Portfolio Settings there is an option to "link" the contact to a project (similar to Prolog). This feature does not seem to filter back to the User settings in the Project so you essentially have to add them twice. It would be helpful if linking the contact to Project under Portfolio Settings would link them directly as a user in the project.
