Excel Imports: Better Dropdown Fields
Enhancement description:
Enable users to type to search and fill dropdowns in Excel export templates.
What are we trying to accomplish?
Quickly fill in import templates that contain large dropdown lists, such as Spec Section on the Submittal import template.
How is the lack of functionality affecting the business?
It takes forever to scroll through these lists to find the lookup items in the dropdown for each row you're adding to the import template.
Suggested implementation:
It seems like exactly the right implementation already exists for some dropdowns.
For example, the Type field on the Submittal import template. When we click on the type cell, we can start typing and it will filter the dropdown and then you can hit tab to fill in the cell and move on. However, on the same import template, you cannot do this on any other dropdown field.
Please just make all dropdowns the same, so that they all work like the Type field on the Submittal import template.
