Ability to Promote Multiple Comments to the Answer for RFIs & maybe Submittals
Enhancement description:
Give users the ability to select multiple comments and promote them as the answer for RFIs.
What are we trying to accomplish?
Easily include all relevant information in an RFI response.
How is the lack of functionality affecting the business?
Sometimes you have multiple people responding to an RFI on a project. For example, you may have a structural engineer and architect respond. Today, you have to download any attachments they uploaded and copy & paste their response into the answer field.
It would be much easier to be able to select both responses from the structural engineer & architect (in this example) and promote them as a single answer that includes their full comments and attachments.
Suggested implementation:
1. Give certain security roles a promote button after comments have been received on a record.
2. When a user with the correct role hits the promote button, check-boxes appear next to each comment.
3. The user then selects the comments they want to promote to the answer and hits confirm.
4. The comments (including any uploaded files) are listed in order of date/time received, showing the user that submitted them & who promoted the response(s).
