Workflow Improvement Idea: Daily Report “Ball in Court” Submission
The current Daily Report “ball in court” workflow requires users to click Submit to advance the report, which creates issues on projects where multiple foremen contribute to the same report. Foremen are not always aware whether others still need to add information, and reports are sometimes submitted prematurely with no way to reverse the action. To better support collaborative reporting, this could be improved by either restricting the Submit function by project role (e.g., foremen can edit but only the Superintendent can submit), or by adding an unsubmit/reopen capability for submitted reports. Either approach would reduce incomplete reports while maintaining clear accountability in the workflow.
