Can we could lock specific filled fields so that we could save a punch item, add a new one, and have it use those locked fields on the new item. I think the existing duplicate button is a good start, but this would allow for greater control of what fields are retained for the next item. I've included a screenshot from our timecard entry system that demonstrates the functionality we're asking for.
From the Screenshot: Our users have this "Save as Default" functionality in our timecard entry system. Users can fill in any of the fields and then choose "Save as Default". From then on, all new entries start with the fields we saved as default and the user just needs to fill in a couple of items. It really speeds things up.
